There may not be dancing and prancing in Blogosphere Square quite yet, but Christmas time has already arrived at my blog this year. The tree tops on this event horizon are glistening, as I am grateful for your embrace of my recent memoir posts. I’ve even decorated the house in your honor.
Sometimes saying “thank you” seems inadequate. Sometimes saying I’m grateful is nowhere near enough. To say I appreciate your warmth and kindness, your encouragement and hugs does not come close to articulating just how overcome with love I feel.
Despite that inadequacy, I still say “thank you.” Thank you for reading, thank you for commenting, thank you for reaching so deeply inside yourselves to meet me in these posts. Thank you for listening and loving, supporting and encouraging.
Thank you for gathering around this memoir-in-the-making, especially at this special time of year. Its beginnings may be humble, but hopefully this baby of a book will grow into something more substantial, something worthy of your support.
I can’t imagine doing this without you. I don’t know how memoirists manage without the community the blogosphere creates. I’m blessed to have you and hope I can honor your support in continuing to tell my tale.
I may not be dashing through the snow in a one-horse, open sleigh, but I have all of you to make my spirits bright—all of you to make my Christmas white.
So, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in my corner of the blogosphere this year. May we each post our way to peace on earth this holiday.
And thanks for jingling my blog’s bells this Christmas. Holiday hugs to each and every one of you.
Note: If you are new to my blog, you might have guessed that I am writing a memoir and blogging about growing up in an organized crime family. Merry Christmas to you too! Put me down for the first copy of your book.

Forgive me, but “Thanks for jingling my blog’s bells” sounds dirty. (Snicker). But seriously, Kathy, Merry Christmas to you and Sara. You are writing an incredible memoir, and you deserve all the fabulous comments and love. Thank you for giving as much (or more) than you receive.

Your house looks lovely, Kathy. You have inspired me to follow your decorating lead since I have hung a single ornament in my modest abode for the first time in twenty years. I take things slow. Seriously, I’m glad to have met you through WordPress for I enjoy reading your blog immensely. I hope you and Sara have a great holiday!

Same here, my friend. I’m pleased to hear you have broken down and hung a single ornament. Always happy to inspire a little holiday cheer. However, what makes me think even that may have been a lame adventure in the making?

Thnaks, Dana. I’m excited to be home for the holiday and have a chance to decorate. Last year we were home from Haiti for such a short while, it didn’t seem worth the bother. Have you done anything to decorate your little cabin by the lake?
